Members of the Peng Liu Group recently traveled to Dresden, Germany, to attend the 2025 Houk Research Conference (HRC). Held from June 29 to July 1, 2025, the international symposium brought together leading computational and experimental chemists under the theme "Pushing Back the Frontiers of Science: Combining Computation and Experiment".

Keynote and Presentations

Prof. Peng Liu was a featured Plenary Speaker at the conference, delivering a keynote address titled "Computational Studies of Flexible Catalytic Systems". His talk highlighted the group's latest advances in modeling dynamic catalytic environments to predict reactivity and selectivity more accurately. Graduate student Mithun C. Madhusudhanan also represented the group, presenting a poster on his recent research achievements. The conference provided an excellent platform for the group to engage with the global computational chemistry community, including many alumni and collaborators of the Houk Research Group.
